Girls Varsity playing defense against Beaverton.

Our girls’ team played hard tonight against Beaverton in a pretty epic battle. The score doesn’t do them justice. The effort was there tonight. Our girls were a little on edge as Beaverton is the team to beat this year, so our shots and passes were rushed.

Senior and point guard, Sydney Burns, took quite a few drives to the basket tonight, as one would say she was very jelly. Burns along with Grace Ghatto really took the initiative on defense and shut down Beavertons offense.

Towards the end of the game, once Beaverton had secured a firm lead, our underclassmen got a chance to play! Fiona Dunn, Sophmore, and Lily Scanlan, Freshman, got subbed into the game tonight and rocked it. Dunn took point guard and Scanlan ended being fouled and shooting free throws!

The girls did in fact take the L tonight, but there was lots of heart in the team
