Last week in Wilsonville Sports, many teams went at it across different sports. They all played hard and represented Wilsonville well! Here’s this weeks recap:

Boys Basketball had an off week but they got after it during practice. So far, they’ve been nearly unbeaten as their only blemish came at the hands of top 5 6A team West Salem. Entering league play, the number 1 ranked Cats have a favorable route to the playoffs as the strength of their schedule is, for the most part, behind them.

Girls Basketball also had a week off as they prepared for league play. Coming off a tough start to the season, they have recently caught fire, winning their last 4 in a row. They even took down unbeaten Skyview, giving them their first loss of the season. Ranked #10 in 5A, their very competitive league games will begin.

Wrestling had a busy week. First, they had a duel against Hillsboro. The young Cats fought hard but the Spartans proved to be too formidable as the Cats dropped this match 30-56. To finish the week, they took part in the Don York invitational. The Wrestling team is gearing up for the Colton Holly tournament, which they will host against some big names like Canby, Barlow, and Pendleton.
