Enzo Chemienti rises up attempting a very contested floater in a 54-16 victory over St. Helens.

As the regular season starts to come to an end and talks of the playoffs begin Wilsonville (10-1 in conference record) looks to win yet another NWOC title, they took another step in the right direction Tuesday night. Blowing out inner-conference foe St. Helens by a score of 54-16 puts Wilsonville in a very good position to close out the season.

Wilsonville jumped out to a 11-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back the defense was superb all the evidence you need is the 16 minuscule points allowed. The offense was in tune all night spreading the ball around with precision, Tristan Davis led Wilsonville with 10 points while Kallen Gutridge had 9, Enzo Chimienti had 7, and Maxim Wu and Logan Thebiay both had 6.

For St. Helens Tyler Tolles had 4 and Nathan Church had 4. The last couple games for the Lions are against Scappoose and La Salle. with an 0-11 conference record they look to get atleast one victory inside the conference before the season is over.

Heading into the final stretch of games Kallen Gutridge believes this team can be even better “We can still improve before the tournament, the goal we have for this post season is to give 100 percent effort and that will lead us to success”.

With two games left at Hilsboro and at home against Parkrose Wilsonville just has to beat Hilsboro to clinch the conference. When Hilsboro and Wilsonville matched up on January 27th the Wildcats beat the Spartans 73-18.
