On my second installment I’m including two of my personal favorites, as well as a convenient on-the-go spot for the busy student. Also, none of these spots are too far, so anyone should be able to check them out!

Location One: Bridgeport Village, Peet’s Coffee – Nooked in the comfort of Bridgeport, Peet’s is easy to find. Though I must admit my review may be a bit biased considering the Barista does know my name. Peet’s has lots of seating, though the tables are on the smaller side so it’s best for smaller study groups, or great solo. I asked my barista Marc what he recommended and I was sent to the Holiday Spice Latte. At $4.80 it’s over a dollar more expensive than my regular latte but it was great! It was much smoother than the starbucks holiday spice latte I had bought last week, so I was pleasantly surprised! The cafe does not ever get too noisy either, while it is not quiet it never gets too loud, something any student can appreciate while doing their work. Their wifi is also incredibly fast! And after getting some work done, the convenience of the location allows for people to shop around in Bridgeport.

Location Two: Wilsonville, The Human Bean – Notably compared to Dutch Brothers, The Human Bean is quick drive through coffee stand. While there is no indoor seating available, it is still great for students who would rather do some work at home. I was recommended the Irish Cream Breve, a drink that would be ideal for anyone in favor of something sweeter, and $3.75 felt reasonable for the drink compared to recent other places I’ve checked out. For anyone not wanting to make the more popular trip to the Tualatin Dutch Bros, this is a great alternative, offering almost the same drinks.

Location Three: Old Town Sherwood, Symposium – Just 20 minutes away, the cozy atmosphere of Symposium is the perfect study spot. The cafe almost mimics a house, with a more lively downstairs and quieter upstairs rooms. Symposium also allows you to rent out rooms if you want to schedule a group study sesh! Just make sure to go online and make a reservation a day in advance. As for the coffee, it’s great! They offer plenty of non-dairy options and lots of fun flavors like the “honey lavender” and my recommended drink, a cardamom hemp milk latte. Both the cardamom and hemp milk were upcharges though so my 16oz rang in at $6.25. Which unfortunately, is incredibly overpriced for the delicious drink
