Wildcats fighting for possession at midfield. Wilsonville boys varsity Soccer beat Milwaukee 3-0 in an almost effortless fashion.

Boys Soccer is just getting into league play for their season, and on Wednesday 10/5 they beat the Milwaukee Mustangs at Randall Stadium in a dominant showing. Wilsonville controlled the game possessing the ball for the majority of the 80 minutes and put up 3 goals to cruise by the Mustangs. Wilsonville came into Wednesday’s game after suffering a tough 3-2 loss to La Salle after leading 2-0 early on, but they rebounded with a one-sided win. Their record has been restored to .500 and they are ready to take on the remainder of their schedule.

The Wildcats were led by senior forward Greg Keswick on offense, he is one of their strongest players and showed up for Wednesday’s game. He was an offensive leader, someone who the Cats could rely on to get things started and bring the ball up the field. He had an assist to sophomore forward Alex Aguiar for the Wildcats’ second goal of the game. Sophomore forward Sergio Day was also an offensive weapon for Wilsonville, the young player had the opening score of the game.

Other standout players were senior defender Cameron Little, junior midfielder Yazly Nazarov, and junior midfielder David Munoz. Senior midfielder Yaseen Mubashir had the performance of the game. Mubashir was the main communicator and leader on the field for Wilsonville, and he established himself as an offensive and defensive weapon. Apart from proficient play all around the field and great leadership, Mubashir scored the Wildcats’ 3rd goal to truly put it away for Wilsonville.
