Junior Caroline de la Motte and freshman Camryn Schaan celebrate after a goal. Wilsonville easily scored 8 goals on Hood River.

Wilsonville faced new league addition Hood River on Wednesday, October 12th. The Wildcats asserted their dominance early ultimately leading to a respectable 8-0 win.

“The team played really well together and connected our passes well,” said Grace Wilson. “It was a good game overall. We adjusted to new players and new formations” Wilson added. “It was a really good representation of how we play. We had a tough time in the beginning of the season and weren’t really finding success. But now we are back in league and killing it.” Said Kenley Whittaker. Wilsonville had a tough preseason schedule playing tough 6A teams.

“I am looking forward to playing Canby and playing our old coach Dallas,” said Whittaker. Wilson went for the usual response of our league rivals La Salle. “I am looking forward to seeing them in the playoffs. It is always a competitive and high intensity game.” said Wilson.

Wilsonville plays next at Hillsboro on Monday, October 17th at 7:00 PM
