Tonight is Senior Night for the Wilsonville Girls Soccer Team. Wilsonville will be celebrating these girls before the game. The Wildcats play the Canby Cougars at home at 7 PM but the senior festivities start at 6:40 PM!

Wilsonville is currently ranked 6th in 5A via OSAA and is first in the NWOC league. Wilsonville had a tough pre-season schedule playing tough squads like Caldera, Lake Oswego, West Linn, and Tualatin. The Wildcats have since then found their groove and have won their last five games.

The Wildcats is also coming off of a big win against league rivals La Salle 1-0. La Salle has been bumped down to 7th in 5A via OSAA.

It is bound to be a good game considering the fact that Canby’s head coach, Dallas Hill, was one of Wilsonvilles co coaches last year. “I think the game will go well. If we play as a team and play together we can come away with a win.” said senior Cassie Wedin. “If we play like we did against La Salle and West Linn, and play as a team, we should walk away with a win,” added senior Kate Giese. Wilsonville is excited to face their former coach but ultimately will put that relationship to the side during the game and hope to walk away with a “W”.

Wilsonville has six seniors they will be celebrating tonight. Cassie Wedin, Sammie Baker, Alexis Mcllmoil, Kate Giese, Natalie Kendig, and Hannah Adrich have been fundamental to Wilsonville Girls Soccer. “I am excited to celebrate being a senior but it is very sad because I don’t want to leave the team I’ve been with for four years. It will be hard to say goodbye.” said Wedin. “I am excited because it’s my senior year but it’s heart wrenching to have to leave the team I have been so close with.” said Giese.

Come to Randall Stadium tonight at 6:40 PM and wear white!
