Summary:

We follow Dr. Rose Carter as she tries to get herself out of a curse that has been passed onto her, can she try and venture through the horror of her new life, or will she just be another chain in the link of death. She faces an entity that likes to take the appearance of people she knows; this entity stands out as it is always smiling. Who will and won’t believe her story.

WVHS senior Henry Deitrick’s review: (Spoilers!)

Though it had a good, linear flow to it. Would’ve liked a bit more on the demon’s origins, and I would’ve had Rose defeat the demon in front of a traumatized kid. Other than that, really good acting for this kind of horror movie, good soundtrack, and cinematography was stellar.

TJ Review:

Liked the ending as a darker ending is good for more modern horror. I think that modern horror tends to be too upbeat so to see something that is like a short story, and to have it as dark as this movie was, was fun. I think some of the filming choices was a bit weird but other than that, I loved the characters. Having our main character go from helping crazy people overcome their trauma and being this very well-kept person to losing it all was really cool to watch unfold.

Summary: (non-spoiler)

We follow Laurie Strode and her granddaughter as they try to live their lives after the events of the 1st two movies. Halloween ends, starts 4 years after the last movie putting us in 2022. Laurie Strode is now more grandma like trying to bake pies and be a supportive grandmother to her only living family member. Her granddaughter, Allyson, tries to continue her life as a nurse, trying to help those who need it. Halloween ends starts with a cold open that takes place in 2019, we follow Corey Cunningham as he babysits a young boy of a wealthy couple going out on a Halloween party. The night ends in tragedy as the boy is killed in a horrific accident. The movie follows Alyson and Corey’s relationship as they try and help each other through their past trauma, but can they survive The Shape!

The movie is very gory, shocker, but there was a scene with flashing lights, it was a bit long but not too bad, it was in the beginning. If you have a weak stomach then don’t watch with fully open eyes, the movie is made for Halloween so prepare to be scared.
