Will Hemsley makes a catch in the outfield for the Wildcats last year. The Wilsonville defense has been fantastic so far this year and look to continue that in Arizona.

With the baseball season now underway the Wilsonville baseball team has the opportunity to make a trip down to Arizona and compete in a weeklong tournament against some good Arizona competition. They will be able to bond and play great games in the sunshine. When asked about the expectations while down south, Kheller Larson said “We want to get better every day while we are down there, it should be really fun.”

Wilsonville travels to Arizona on Thursday the 23rd and will have a fast turn around and play their first game on the 24th. They will take on Standley Lake High School, and the next day the Wildcats will face Arrowhead Christian High School.

After that Wilsonville will have a much needed off day for team bonding and other activities, and that area Larson is very excited about “The team bonding will be great, just being in the nice weather and getting to play baseball with my friends is awesome”

After the break Wilsonville plays Desert Mountain on the 27th. Them the Wildcats will play their final game on the 28th as they battle Mountain Pointe High School. It looks to be a very fun spring break for the Wilsonville baseball team, and they look to continue to improve their skills and comradery for later in the season.

Luke Larson had this to say about the trip “Getting to play in an environment like Arizona against some really good competition will be really good for us we are ready to compete and get better, We are a young team and we will keep getting better with the more and more opportunities we get with better and better teams”

Wilsonville looks to have a successful tournament in Arizona and really kick off their season with some sunshine, baseball, and success.
