Jersey rides her horse in a district meet. She is excited to participate in the season again.

The equestrian team had a very successful weekend participating in their second meet of the season. The first day of the event consists of the showmanship events. The results were; Brooklyn James placed first in two events, Lexee Padrick placed first in one event as well as Sydnie Jersey. These three ladies will compete in the state competition as they placed in the top three in two of the meets. The team also placed third in showmanship, hand obstacle, and handrail. They were very satisfied with their start of the season on this three day event.

But the excitement didn’t stop there, the following days Lexee Padrick, Hailey Giddings placed second in Working Pairs. This was a great improvement from their previous meet. Sydnie Jersey took home the first place title and will be competing in the state meet for her first time in her high school career.

Congrats to our Equestrian team on an impressive meet. There is still time left to cheer on your Wildcats at the Yamhill County Fairgrounds in McMinnville, Oregon April 13th-18th.
