Last Friday, the Wilsonville varsity baseball team competed in their second consecutive game against the St. Helens Lions after beating them on 15-2 on Tuesday on their field. The Wildcats held St. Helens to no runs the entire game while scoring seven runs. With no rain, the Wildcats dominated their home ground.

In the final game of the series, the Wildcats hosted St. Helens unexpectedly due to heavy rain. While the rain held off, the Lions gave the Wildcats a run for their money. The Wildcats had a rough start at the beginning of the game. The score was tied 2-2 at the bottom of the fourth inning. In the fifth inning, the Lions made a crucial play scoring one run, taking the lead over the Wildcats 3-2. The Wildcats responded accordingly hitting in 2 more runs to win the game. Most impressively, the Wildcats were able to make adjustments in the final innings to clinch the final victory to all three games in the series.

The Wildcats will host the Sandy Pioneers tonight at home at 5:00pm. They will then hit the road on Friday to take on the Pioneers on their home field. Go follow your varsity baseball team on the OSAA website (OSAA.org) to check game times and final scores. Go Wildcats!
