Cats baseball takes the field with Hillsboro. They played a great game but ultimately fell to the Spartans.

The Wilsonville boys baseball squad faced off against the Hillsboro Spartans on Tuesday night. The Cats fell in a thriller 7-8 taking their record to 16-8 overall and 11-4 in league play, they lost their season series with the Spartans 0-2, the other meeting taking place last Friday were the cats dropped that game 7-3. Coach Card has lead his team to a successful season with the playoffs in their sights and their next goal, but before that there focus turns to there next regular season opponent the La Salle Falcons. I spoke with Cam Forsberg from the Wildcats and he said “ The team has great chemistry and we are having fun, overall I’ve really enjoyed our success this season”. The Cats are on a 2 game skid but look to get back on track against the Falcons. Cats are sitting third in their league and 8th in OSAA currently with La Salle in their rear view mirror sneaking up on them. Winning the series against the Falcons will be key for them to keep that third spot in league. Cats season finale is on the 11th, make sure you’re there a cheering loud!
