Settling into the school year

As we enter the third week of school, students are starting to get comfortable with their classes, teachers, and new routines. We’ve been wondering how some students have been adapting since the start of the new school year. Some can still be going on strong while others could be falling back into old habits. We interviewed 3 students to tell us how they’ve been settling into the year.

Sophomore Ben Sheirbon says that, for the most part, his classes are pretty good and interesting. He’s a part of track and cross country and says that his days are mostly school, running, and homework. Ellie Grano, another sophomore says that she loved all of her classes… on the first day. After the second day she started to grow bored of them. She says that school work can be overwhelming and that she has been constantly studying for irrelevant tests. However, she says it’s not too bad. Kendall Taylor, a junior says that her classes aren’t really difficult and that she really likes them this year. “There are points where school can be overwhelming. I end up talking to my teachers and asking for a bit of clarification and or extra help”

So far, it seems that after four weeks, students are starting to get back into the routine of school and getting comfortable with the idea of the workload and test each week.
