Goalie Zachary Brehm took some hard shots to both his shoulder and face, but held out for the full game

The evenly matched Wilsonville Wildcats and Forest Grove Vikings battled it out in a close game, where both defenses and offenses seemed to be on point.

In first half, Wilsonville goalie Zachary Brehm took some hard shots to both his shoulder and face, but he managed to play a full game saving goals throughout.

Just before the end of the half, Luke Spears just missed a heart-breaker threatening the comfortable 0-0 score, but the game remained tied at the half.

Both teams turned up the juice for the second half, with Zach Gibson attacking the goal early in the second half.  Ryan McCord and Sam Blohn also came to play and it showed.

The Vikings almost got an early goal but were halted by a great save by Zach Brehm.

Forest Grove’s Pablo Dominguez made the first goal  with 4 minutes left in the game, and unfortunately our Cats were unable to pull out a win.

Tune in next Thursday for live coverage as the Cats take on Milwaukie.
