On Wednesday, February 6th, the Wildcats boys basketball team extended their undefeated league record to 9-0 as they dominated the Hillsboro Spartans from start to finish. The ‘Cats ended up winning the game 81-35 due to great passing and shooting throughout the game.

When talking to Junior wing Andrew Classen, he said that the team was able to be successful against Hillsboro because they also played very good defense.

However, he said that the two snow days that cancelled practice did have effects on the team as he said that they were not as enthusiastic as usual. In addition, the three days off in a row threw the team out of rhythm a little bit. Nevertheless, he still said that they played very well as seen in the final margin.

Classen also said: “This victory will help the team in the long run because when we get out of our daily schedule or out of our rhythm we will be able to overcome it…”

Next up for the Wildcats in Northwest Oregon Conference play is an away contest vs the third place Falcons of La Salle Prep.
