The New England Patriots win Super Bowl LIII 13-3 against the Los Angeles Rams

The New England Patriots capture their 6th world championship

Superbowl LIII The AFC Champion New England Patriots and NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams played in footballs largest game for the chance to be crowned king of the NFL. Tom Brady with his usual super bowl appearance entering his ninth title game and the Los Angeles Rams getting to the superbowl was as some say handed to them because of a non call in the NFC Championship against the New Orleans Saints. Rams cornerback Nickell Roby-Coleman hit Saints wide receiver Tommy Lee-Lewis on a wheel route before the ball arrived.  It was clearly a flag, could’ve been called numerous things but Bill Vinovich and his refereeing crew “did not see it”. The guiltless corner said “Hell yeah it was a flag, I whacked his a**”. At the end of the day the superbowl was Rams Vs Patriots.

It was a surprising slow paced game with two prolific offenses lead by present and future star head coaches Pats Bill Belichick and Rams Sean Mcvay. The fans were not to pleased with the results. Going into halftime the Patriots led by a field goal, 3-0. At half Pats WR Julian Edelman had more total yards than the whole Rams offense as an unit. It was a game to remember for both teams punters who both were walk ons at Oregon State, Johnny Hekker and Ryan Allen both punted 7+ times. Fans were left sleeping at half with the results then were rudely awaken by Maroon 5s halftime performance.

Rams connected on a deep field goal early in the 3rd to time the game from Greg Zuerlein. Vintage Tom stayed winning with 10 unanswered points in the 4th with clutch catches by Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman down the stretch. Rams had a chance late but Stephon Gilmore plucked one away from Rams QB Jared Goff to seal the deal. Georgia rookie running back Sony Michel scored the game’s only touchdown late in the 4th, along with 18 carries for 94 yards. But the superbowl MVP went to the games grittiest player Julian Edelman who had big plays whenever there was one to made, he finished the game with 10 catches for 141 yards.

New England took home its 6th super bowl title in Atlanta, and Los Angeles went back home to defeat that was two weeks overdue. As the Tom Brady legacy grows as the greatest of all the time he gets his 6th ring tying an NFL record. The New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII.
