Lunch reviews with Lucie and Kali: Starbucks

The first stop in our lunch reviews will be the always popular Starbucks drive through.
There’s an obvious flaw right off the bat when you arrive at Starbucks… the parking lot traffic. Due to its small parking lot and a short drive through, there’s always a long line of cars waiting in the road to enter the ordering lane. This backs up traffic for other vehicles trying to get past to other popular spots like Chipotle and Noodles.
Once it’s your turn to order, another problem arises. You can only make as many as two separate orders. This means that you can make two separate payments at the window. So, if you have four or five people in the car like we usually do, you’ll have to pay for each other. In the age of Venmo, this isn’t the most inconvenient thing in the world and we always make it work, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Despite minimal inconveniences, Starbucks is the place to go when avoiding getting out of the car in the rough Oregon weather. Across the street there are fast food chains however if you aren’t feeling a taco or some chicken nuggets, Starbucks is an exceptional alternative.
Another positive of venturing to ‘Starbs’ in your thirty minutes of freedom is the option of food and coffee (as well as a surplus of other drinks) that gives students an option to get something other than food if you already have a lunch.
For us, the positives outweigh the negatives. This seems to be the case for most others too! An overwhelming amount of green and white cups can be seen in the hands of plenty of students corralling back to class.
