The cats came swinging with a sweep over their three game series against the St. Helens Lions.  After some rain, confusion, and some change in schedules the cats were able to play all three of their games at home this week.  In game one the cats rolled up to an early lead of 6-0 and closed it out with a win. Senior Nolan Thebiay started on the mound and was able to throw a complete game and close out game one for the cats.  Game two had the boys fired up at the plate. As a team the boys had 10 hits as Nolan Thebiay led the way with two triples, 12 RBI’s, and 15 runs. The cats also were lights out on defense holding St. Helens to only one run.  Junior Braden Woodworth was on the bump for the cats this game and had six strikeouts and only one walk. Game three was on friday. Junior Keegan Shivers pitched a complete game. The boys got up to an early lead of 8-0 in the fourth.  The kept pushing and finished 12-2 closing out a series sweep. This win was led by the teams 15 hits and 11 RBI’s. The boys are now getting prepared for Hillsboro next week.
