Baseball vs Hillsboro

Another week rolls by and so does another Wilsonville baseball series.  This week the cats took on the Hillsboro Spartans. Game one was at home and Junior Braden Woodworth was starting pitching for the cats.  The boys got off to a hot start with Senior Trevor Antonson hitting a big solo homerun to get the cats on the board early. Another outstanding performance is by Freshman Cole Hubka.  He went three for three with two singles and a double. Woodworth held the Spartans to only five hits and two runs.

Game two was at Hare Field.  Starting on the bump was Senior Nolan Thebiay.  Thebiay held to only two hits and had seven strikeouts.  This game was a rough one for the cats. With giving up and early 5-0 lead the cats managed to fight back and get three runs, yet it didn’t seal them the win.

After a rain delay and some rescheduling the boys were able to take on Hillsboro for the third time the next week.  The boys started the game with Keegan Shivers pitching and the Spartans were able to get their first three batters on base.  With no outs and bases loaded the game got rained out. The next Thursday they continued the game and the cats were able to come out with a 3-2 win and won the series 2-1.
