As many may know, the fall season has fully commenced and fall sports have begun competing. However, even though tennis is a spring activity, the sport is utilizing the last drops of warmth and resurfaced courts.

Coach Fowler has been helping plan these hit-arounds, and he chooses various days of each week to meet since some students who would like to play are also participating in fall sports. Fowler uses the Wilsonville High School Girls Tennis Team’s remind app to get the word out about these hits; you can join this chat by texting @8c9766 to 81010.

You can just come to hit around and show your skills.

— Mikayla Brehm

Many people have been attending these hits including junior Mikayla Brehm, a student who has been participating in high school tennis since her freshman year. “I think it’s great for people to come because you don’t have to worry about the tryouts,” Brehm explains, “you can just come to hit around and show your skills.” Brehm has been enjoying the sunny days recently since she knows the Oregon rain will make its famous appearance for good soon.

If you would like to join the tennis team or have some fun on the courts with your friends, feel free to join the Wilsonville High School Girls team on their open hit days.
