After the most recent homecoming game win, the Wildcats are beginning to get even more hype about this year’s current football season. Because of this, a large group of our Wilsonville students packed the visitors’ side at Hare Field to cheer on the Wildcats against Hillsboro this last Friday.

The Spartans are ranked #26 by OSAA this year, with the Wildcats being ranked #12. During this ongoing season, Hillsboro has a record of 1-2; meaning that they’ve won only one game so far. After playing the Wildcats, however, their record is now 1-3 due to the Wildcats’ dub.

The student section really showed up to the game to show the Spartans what we had—a large contrast to the last away game where the Wilsonville student section showed up lacking. “We played well but were somewhat undisciplined,” junior Bryan Rector commented, “[I’m] Proud of our student section too.”

At the beginning of the game, the Wildcats quickly took a lead of 7-0, yet got tied back up at 20-20 going into the second half. By the end of the third quarter, Wilsonville pulled ahead yet again with a score of 27-20: in the end, Wilsonville took home the dub of 30-26.
