Hillsboro historically is a very intense matchup for the cats. For many of the seniors Hillsboro has significance dating back to there freshman year. Sam Blohn said, “Hillsboro is always an exciting matchup and I’m excited to face them on my senior night.” As a freshman Blohn and the wildcats took a major beatdown during league 6-1 against Hillsboro. The cats were able to redeem themselves playing Hillsboro away in the first round of the playoffs winning 1-0. Blohn noted that for this generation of athletes Hillsboro will always be a rivalry because of that match. Blohn’s junior cats beat Hilhi in the final regular season game to knock the Spartans out of the playoffs.

Hillsboro came into a loud Randall stadium to eventually go down one goal in the first half. The Spartans were never able to recover and the wildcats escaped with a 1-0 win and a third place ranking in the state of Oregon 5a soccer. The wildcats saw themselves jump up from a double digit ranking in the last two weeks of the season to a number three seed which secured home field advantage for the playoffs.
