Kiley Kaiser, a senior at WVHS, has grown up in Wilsonville Oregon. She lives on her family’s golf course, Kohl Creek, located between Wilsonville and West Linn.  She has one younger brother, Kohl Kaiser, who is a Sophomore at WVHS. Kiley has grown up with lots of animals in the house. With two dogs, two goats, a bird, and a cat on the property, the atmosphere can feel overwhelming sometimes. She enjoys eating watermelon and apples year round. 

Living on a golf course, Kiley has many responsibilities to uphold. Different seasons require different duties. In the fall, she and her brother rake leaves. In the spring, she must pull weeds and plant flowers to make sure the place looks presentable. In the summer she is responsible for watering, and because summer is the busiest time at the golf course, she spends a lot of time picking up tees. On top of her unpaid responsibilities, she also holds two paid jobs. One is helping her mom out in the pro shop by running the cash register. The second is helping out her neighbor’s holiday decor business from Halloween through Christmas. In addition to all the work Kiley does for her family and neighbors, she also finds time to participate on the varsity cheer team at Wilsonville High. Kiley is busy year round!

You might not think that Kiley has any free time for hobbies, but she makes room in her schedule for fun. One of Kiley’s FAVORITE activities is fishing. She would fish year round if she had the time for it. Luckily for Kiley, there is a small pond at Kohl Creek for fishing. You can usually catch her in her free time at the pond trying to get bites. (Fun Fact: there are three big sturgeon that lurk at the bottom of her pond. They don’t bite.)  In the summer, she loves hosting daytime fishing parties followed by bonfires in the evening. 

Even though Kiley lives and works on a golf course, she never golfs there. She only started golfing as a sport in high school, and she practices with the team at Charbonneau. Kiley doesn’t see golf as her passion, but she is dedicated to her family and possibly carrying on the family business after college. She hopes to attend OSU and major in business. Maybe, in the future, she will be running the Kohl Creek golf course.
