Upcoming girl’s lacrosse

The girl’s lacrosse program is under new leadership this season, and will be led by new head coach, Mark Waddell. Following a season with only two wins in league, the girl’s team has a lot of room to grow, but as Ellie Grano said, “I’m thinking it’s gonna be a lot better than last year. It seems like we have a bigger and stronger team. So, I’m hoping for a good outcome.” Grano is right, in the fact that the girl’s team had no seniors last year, so every able player will be returning.

Grano is excited for the start of the season, and is most looking forward to, “getting together with the team, and like finding our strengths and getting better.”

On the flip side of things, freshman Grace Jensen is eager to get to know the upperclassmen and learn from them. “I haven’t really met anyone, but the program seems like it will be fun.” Jensen remarked, after attending a couple of captain-led workouts.

In regards to the new coach Jensen said, “The coach seems really cool.” She is excited to play for him and learn more about the program.

With a mix of seniors through freshman, this season is really looking up for the girl’s lacrosse team, and is going to be exciting to watch.
