On Tuesday, March 10th and Wednesday, March 11th, the Class of 2024 students visited Wilsonville High School! Tuesday kids were eighth graders from Wood Middle School while Wednesday kids were eighth graders from Meridian Creek Middle School and Athey Creek Middle School. These students will be attending Wilsonville High School in the fall of 2020.

While on their visit, the students participated in multiple activities. These activities include watching a video about elective choices, created by the broadcasting team in the Journalism and Broadcasting class, as well as taking a tour of the school. The video allowed students to learn about what elective courses are offered to students throughout their high school experience. While the tour around the school allowed students to get an understanding of how the school they are attending in the fall is laid out and where certain classes are located.

Students from Link Crew gave tours around the school for the eighth graders. Bridget LaFreniere, a junior that is part of Link Crew, expressed why having the eighth graders come is important. “Touring the school gives them a chance to see where they will be for the next four years.” She continues by touching on what giving the tour was like. “Each tour guide had around ten to twelve kids that they walked around the school showing where certain places were, such as the gym, art hall, and choir hall.”

The incoming freshmen will start in the fall of 2020 and will graduate in the spring of 2024. Welcome to Wilsonville High School, Class of 2024!
