Girls soccer remains undefeated after an impressive win against Marist Catholic

The Wilsonville Wildcats girls soccer team beat Marist Catholic High School 4-1 on this sunny Saturday afternoon. Coming into the game, Marist had a record of 5-1, with a five game winning streak. The Wildcats were able to stop Marist’s winning streak while continuing their own after a very physical game.

Freshman Kenley Whittaker scored the Wildcats first two goals, both within the first ten minutes of the first half. The rest of the first half remained a physical matchup with both teams proving their winning record.

The first minute into the second half, Junior Lindsey Antonson scored her first goal of the game. She then scored her second goal and the fourth goal for the team with about 13 minutes left of the game.

Cloe Chase for Marist was able to score the Spartans first and only goal with about 4 minutes remaining.

The Wildcats will play Hillsboro at Hillsboro on Tuesday, March 30th, where they hope to remain undefeated.
