Wilsonville battles rain and lack of energy, drops another 18-4

On a rainy day from Randall Stadium, the Wildcats were defeated 18-4 at the hands of the Sherwood Bowmen. They play next against Wilson on Monday evening.

On Friday night, a cloud-laden and rain-infused Randall stadium played host to boys lacrosse. This night marked another crosstown showdown between the Wildcats and the Sherwood Bowmen. Wilsonville looked to earn their first win of the year, while Sherwood looked to move to 4-2.

The Wildcats came out on a hot streak scoring a goal courtesy of Eli Nelson at the 2-minute mark of the first quarter. The Bowmen responded with 4 consecutive goals, scored by Jack Causey.  He was the first star of tonight’s game, netting an impressive 5 goals here against WHS. The Wildcats cut the deficit to 4-2 but Sherwood went on a solid run again closing out the half at 9-3.

The second half began with Causey leading the charge, netting multiple in the third quarter extending the lead to 15-3.

In quarter 4, the Wildcats were outscored 3-1, which moved the tally to 18-4 and cemented the Sherwood showing.

Next, the Wildcats play Wilson at 7:00 pm at Randall.
