Wilsonville High School students were asked what their favorite horror movies were, and unsurprisingly many of them gravitated towards the classic horror.

Classic horror movies were paired together, and students were asked to choose between them. The results were kind of surprising.

The first matchup was between Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street. Friday the 13th was expected to have significantly more votes, but it just barely beat out Nightmare on Elm Street with 21 votes compared to the 16 votes Nightmare on Elm Street had.

The next group was Annabelle and The Conjuring. More people voted for The Conjuring, which received 29 votes compared to Annabelle with only 11 votes. This one wasn’t as surprising because lots of people either like The Conjuring way more or they have never even heard of Annabelle

Another group was the movies It and Halloween. Looking at the other outcomes, you would think that they would be pretty close in votes, but that was not the case. It had 10 more votes than Halloween, with 26-16.

The last movies grouped together were Scream and The Purge. It was no surprise that Scream beat The Purge by 12 votes. The Purge had a total of 15 votes compared to Scream, which had a total of 27 votes.

Some honorable mentions that a couple of people said were their favorites were movies like the newer version of Invisible man. Invisible man is a really interesting movie with some exciting plot twists. So if you haven’t watched it, it is highly recommended!
