Travel Destinations Over Thanksgiving Break

Senior Anna Burkhead traveled to Cabo San Lucas Mexico with her family and the author's family. On their trip the girls spent time by the pool, on the beach, and shopping in the actual town of Cabo San Lucas. Their highlights from the trip include watching the beautiful sunsets on the beach and making new friends from California.

Senior Josh Ruud stayed at Disneyland for nearly a week over the break. There he spent quality family time and went on tons of rides. His family loved posing for the hidden cameras and changing up their looks for each picture. Josh's personal favorite ride was the Incredicoaster.

Senior Hannah Kelso traveled to Arizona with Senior Gabby Prusse and Jeven Lundberg for a GCU Discovery trip at the beginning of break. They enjoyed exploring the campus and participating in many different activities. Hamster ball soccer was the students' favorite activity on the campus.

Junior Ainsley Kennedy traveled to Maui over the break with her family. She spent nearly 6 days there exploring the island. While on her trip she enjoyed looking at wildlife and trying some of Hawaii's delicious foods.

Senior Ryland Espejo traveled to Oahu with his family over Thanksgiving Break. They enjoyed getting some sunshine and enjoying some of Hawaii's finest sunsets. Espejo stated, "I admired the beautiful sunsets and dipped my toes in the salty ocean." when referring to what he did on his trip to Ko Olina.

Sophomore Olivia Lyons traveled to the Bahamas with her family and aunt and uncle. They were in paradise for a total of 10 days! They spent lots of their time boating around the island and soaking up the sun.

Senior Emma Matthies and her family flew across the country to get some much needed sunshine over the break. They flew into Fort Lauderdale then drove to the keys. When describing her trip she mentioned that they pretty much just went with the flow and found something new to do every day. "My favorite part about the trip was relaxing at the beach in Miami and going to the Hemingway House in Key West,"...

Junior Ella Hubka stayed at a cabin in Sunriver with her good friends Ashli Edmiston and Sophia Kleckner over the break. They enjoyed biking around, playing games, and spending time with each other over the break.

Senior Ellie Wettstein traveled to Olivia Beach with her close friend Rachel Westing over the break. When reviewing the trip she stated, "It was so fun to get away for a little and the weather was amazing! We stayed in a house that we’ve been to a couple times so it just felt very relaxing and comfortable. There was the prettiest sunset too"
