Equestrian team provides new opportunities and like-minded friendships
This year, Wilsonville High School’s equestrian team may be small, but it’s certainly mighty! Athletes recently completed their final district meet of the season, and all qualified for state in one or more events. Though it seems few students know much (if anything) about the team, being a part of the Oregon High School Equestrian Teams’ (OHSET) program has proven to be one of the most enjoyable parts of high school for its six members. From golf-kart racing at state to escaping cows and roping dummies in-between events, OHSET members have loads of good stories and fond memories to share. OHSET provides high school athletes with a wide variety of opportunities, though the benefits of OHSET are different for each member.
