What lies ahead

The future looks promising for the Wilsonville Equestrian Team. Wilsonville placed first overall in their division at the final meet despite several changes within the team’s composition. Both the excitement and tension surrounding this year’s state championship are higher than ever, seeing as the past two were canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions. These restrictions are primarily to blame for the significant reduction in participation across all districts. While having fewer athletes has its advantages, many are hopeful for more next year. Returning athletes say they will welcome new equestrians–competing or not–with open arms. If you’re passionate about horses and have experience working with or riding them, the team asks that you consider joining.
