Tiffany Arnold: Learning Specialist
Tiffany Arnold is new to the Wilsonville High School staff this year. Her office is located in Room 98, just next-door to the main office.
Prior to this year, Ms. Arnold has worked as a social worker and in a Federal Psychiatric Ward, but her desire to help underrepresented youth drew her back to school, and now she has the degree needed to work with underserved students as WVHS’s new Learning Specialist.
“I picked high school because I love working with high school students and teenagers. I don’t see any difficulties, and if I do, I try to help them overcome them.”
As far as first impressions go, Ms. Arnold was impressed by the atmosphere of the school building itself, and was especially taken with the art projects displayed throughout. With two weeks down, Ms. Arnold has not lost any of her passion that she began the year with, and only had praise for the entire faculty: “The staff and administration, everybody, have been so welcoming, helpful and friendly. It’s just a really great place to be and work at.”
She can’t wait to foster connections with students, “discover their passions and try to help them get there.” Although admitting there were definite challenges during COVID, she explained there were certain post-COVID benefits as well, such as Zoom meetings, which are more accessible for working parents.
When she’s not helping the WVHS community, Ms. Arnold’s favorite hobbies include traveling, camping, playing tennis, and spending time at the beach.
