With quarter one coming to an end, many students are beginning to change up their pace. Maybe they’re realizing they need to get back on track before the end of the semester, maybe they’re adjusting their workload. Plenty of students however, specifically seniors, are counting down their remaining days at Wilsonville.

Monique Mallette, senior, feels excited about the year ahead, “My senior year has been really great. I’ve made a lot of fun memories, and have really enjoyed my time, but I can’t wait to graduate.” She continued to say that she’s happy that she can look back positively on her high school years; she can now see that the things that once caused her stress aren’t so serious anymore, which gives her confidence that any stress she has now will either be worth it by next year, or something she can learn from.

Though some students are grateful to complete another quarter, others are nervous for what’s ahead. Senior Hannah Wilken notes, “Graduation seems far, but it also will come quicker than you think. I wish I could pause time, figure out exactly what I’ll be doing next, and then continue with the year.”  She followed up with a positive angle, “even though I’m uncertain about the coming year, I’m confident that whatever I end up doing will be the right choice for me.”

As of now, seniors still have over 200 days to go. Whether you’re itching to get out, or dragging your feet, graduation is still a ways away.
