“Being part of the community at Wilsonville has shaped me in countless ways but I feel like the most significant would probably be how I’ve been given opportunities and experiences to learn from and value others that aren’t the same as me or my preferred group of people. And to hold gratitude for all the people that are at Wilsonville.
I’m part of FCA as well as the girls tennis team. Through all the different programs and clubs that are offered at Wilsonville, it creates a sense of community for all students. I’ve been involved with FCA since I was in middle school, and always knew I wanted to be plugged in coming into high school.
As I’ve been deeply impacted by leaders and mentors throughout being a part of Fca and Younglife, it has encouraged me in so many ways to carry that impact and invitation for students at Wilsonville.
And for the girls tennis team, I have loved getting to know all the girls by joining the tennis team last spring during my sophomore year. I’ve grown up playing for fun with my dad, since he’s a huge tennis player, and felt encouraged to try it out last year, and it was such a special experience on and off the court, and I can’t wait for the upcoming season.
My favorite part of Wilsonville would be the community we have here. I feel like Wilsonville’s student body and administration and even families carry so much respect, love and inclusivity for all kids.
Someone who really inspires me is my Leader Jenny Wiepert. She cares for me and countless other kids here at Wilsonville with such intentionality and love. She is selfless and driven by serving others and most of all serving God.”
