The Wilsonville volleyball team had a successful season with a record of 19-7 and a league record of 14-2. The Wildcats were ranked number 9 in all of 5A out of 35 teams, and started the season with a bang by winning their first 5 games.
Although the season ended with a loss in their last 2 playoff games, they did win their first playoff game against Churchill 3-0. The Wilsonville volleyball team did not lose a single game at home. The volleyball team also had a record of 2-1 in the West Linn tournament.
Wilsonville 2 stretches throughout the season, during which they won 5 games in a row. The volleyball team has only three seniors this year. Wilsonville was at the top of their conference, leading with 14 wins and only 2 losses during league play. With their rival La Salle Prep in a close second with a 14-2 record.
Wilsonville volleyball had the 7th highest GPA in the 5A league, with a 3.77 average GPA with the whole varsity volleyball team. Their head coach, Scott Thompson, led the Wildcats through their successful season, but could not have done it without the help of their assistant coach Brian Ramm.
The Wildcats won 12 games throughout the season, including a 3-0 win in a playoff game against Churchill, and that does not count tournament games. In the end, the volleyball team had a very successful season with a great playoff run. We will always support the volleyball team no matter what the outcome is.
