Welcome to Star Wars: To do or not to do? Sophomore Robbie Osborn and junior Tyler Widener bring you this podcast all about Star Wars and the nuances of its quality. We cover many different forms of Star Wars, including its films, TV shows, characters, and even Lego sets!
This podcast was planned when Robbie asked Tyler, “What’s your favorite movie?” to which Tyler replied, “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.” This triggered flashbacks for Robbie of watching these films as a young citizen, which prompted him to suggest recording this podcast. And the rest is history.
They answer many questions in this podcast that some of you may have, such as: would a 32-year-old like the original trilogy the best? Who is the WORST Star Wars character? Are Akira Kurosawa’s samurai films good? And much more! It’s all put together with brilliant editing, too!
Robbie and Tyler balance their wit and determination with hard-hitting comedic timing and mystical sound-bites. They’re a one-of-a-kind duo that dissects Star Wars in thrilling and dynamic ways, interviewing guests with legendary questioning skills. They also employ voice effects to their fullest potential, making this podcast especially unique.
Star Wars originated in 1977 with George Lucas’ timeless masterpiece titled Star Wars. The film instantly resonated with audiences, becoming the highest-grossing film of all time and winning 6 Academy Awards. It spawned a 9-film main series, countless spinoffs, a highly profitable merchandising line, and over 5 different pinball machines!
Its popularity can be attributed to its massive fanbase, of which 2 were selected to be interviewed for this podcast: teacher Michael Esqueda and student Zander Vigil. Both give their opinions, hot takes, and detailed analysis on the franchise they love, based on what the hosts ask them. So sit back and strap in tight, as you prepare to jump into hyperspace!
