This winter season, Wilsonville High School is looking at competitive swim, basketball, ski, snowboard, and wrestling teams. The first official day of practice for all winter sports this season is November 12th.

Boys basketball’s first big game of the season is against Ridgeview High School on the 30th of November. Looking specifically at the start of the Wildcat’s basketball season, Jack Roche — senior point guard — reports on his plans for this season. Jack says that “We have a couple of star players who fans should watch including: Dakota Reber, Keegan Shivers, and Gabe Reichle.”

Thanks Jack for giving letting us in on a little about this promising season. Following that little window into the world of basketball, next Brayden Poling describes what they expect this upcoming swim season will look like. Brayden is very excited about all things swim like just being with the team, competing, doing well in districts (which is at La Salle who usually has the best pool), going to state, having solid teamwork in the relays. Brayden informs us about a new swim coach named Ms. Bennett to accompany the current swim coach.

These two looks into the some winter sports sounds like a lot of people are thrilled for their winter sports. No one here can wait to see how well the wildcat teams do. Let’s hope that all students do exceptionally well.
