The Imaginary Invalid
Wilsonville high school theater closed Cinderella three weeks ago and already have had their auditions for their winter play the imaginary invalid. The play is produced by John Fitzgerald and is about a hypochondriac named Ardin. Ardin tries to get his eldest daughter Angelique, to marry his doctor Defois’s son Thomas so that he can get free medicine and check ups for himself. The problem is Angelique is in love with Cleante, not Thomas. Fortunately for her, the housemaid Toinette is on her side instead of her father. Angelique’s stepmother Beline who tries to get all of Ardins money when he dies. Fitz held auditions for the play on Monday and had callbacks on Wednesday. The winter play opens on February 27th and runs until March 7th! Wilsonville high school theater program also has Night on Broadway on January 31st and February 1st to show you what they are bringing to Regionals!
