Wilsonville Football lined up for the anthem before a home game. The Wildcats defeated Hood River Valley 52-6

After falling to Summit and Tualatin, both extremely strong football programs, in consecutive weeks, Wilsonville needed a win. Friday presented them the perfect opportunity to get their season back on track with their homecoming matchup vs Hood River Valley, and the boys certainly didn’t disappoint. The Wildcats put up 52 points against Hood River Valley, winning in spectacular fashion. The defense allowed only 6 points, a rock-solid performance. With their dominant victory, Wildcat football started off homecoming weekend with a bang.

Both starters and backups got involved in the game with everyone putting up great performances. Senior RB Jacob Ogden looked nearly unstoppable, almost never going down on first contact when he carried the ball. He had several touchdowns for the Wildcats early. Senior WR Cooper Hiday also had a good game, proving why he is the primary receiver in the Wilsonville offense once again.

Wildcat football looks to keep rolling on as they gear up for senior night this Friday. With the regular season starting to wind down and the postseason looming overhead, the Wildcats are looking to keep their momentum as they finish out their schedule and look to make a deep playoff run.
