Wilsonville students prep for the new school year

With the beginning of a new school year and incoming freshmen entering high school for the first time, it’s always nice to start a new school year with a positive attitude and feeling prepared for the first day.

Some of us naturally already have a plan on how we’ll prep for the school year, while others, like myself, sometimes don’t have a clue on what you’ll even need for the school year.

Most of the students who were interviewed said that they always start with fixing their sleep schedules. They slowly start getting into the habit of getting up earlier so it isn’t that much of a hassle when the first few weeks come around.

Students like Araxi Martinez and Miguel Tejeda who took or are currently in AP courses, get started on summer homework from those classes weeks before entering so that they aren’t worrying last minute.

Anii Nwizu And Uriel Martinez like to prep by either going to the mall or shop online for some new clothes, get a haircut a few days before the first day.

Student athletes like Jesus Loeza and Lily Wright start to revolve their routines around their practice schedules. They try their best to get all their work turned in and to get good grades so that they’ll be able to participate in their games.

Now it may be difficult to get back into the routine of getting up at 6 or 7 in the morning to go to school for a certain amount of hours and to come home to loads of homework, but getting back into a routine and preparing yourself for the school year will ultimately lead to a successful year.
