A great way to send off all the seniors.

During a very emotional football game on Friday night the Wilsonville Wildcats, led by their 16 seniors, dominated all three phases of the game and crushed the Spartans from Hillsboro by a score of 41-7.

After all the pre-game celebrations the adrenaline kicked in for Wilsonville who scored in the first 12 seconds after kicking off to the Spartans. After Hillsboro fumbled on the first play Wilsonville took over on the 5 and ran a reverse to Brock Arnstone, who made his way to the endzone untouched. Wilsonville did not look back after that, scoring a total of 34 points in the first quarter.

Overall the game was a fantastic way to send off the seniors who have worked so hard for that night all season. That was Wilsonville’s last regular season home game for this football season. However, Wilsonville will most likely host one or two playoff games in the coming weeks depending on seeding.

It is an exciting time to be a part of the football program, and the conference championship is coming up fast. It will take place at Canby High School at 7 o’clock. Wilsonville needs lots of people to be there to support the team and make it feel like a home game!
