As far as favorites go, Valentine’s day ranks one of the lowest among high school students. The reason for this is it follows directly after the big holiday season and the beginning of a new year, such a celebratory time.

Why people liked it:

  1. Because it’s a day dedicated to celebrating love.
  2. It can be used to celebrate those around you.
  3. It’s fun getting gifts for friends and those you love.
  4.  Enjoy activities you wouldn’t do normally like making heart-shaped pizzas and making cards.

Why people dislike it:

  1. Being single= lonely
  2. Still having to go to work, making it not a real holiday.
  3. Material purchases and companies trying to make more money.
  4. Not as special and meaningful because it’s a holiday, the feeling of obligation to do something nice.
