Tristan Davis ferociously blocks Chris Stoddard in a 42-32 Wilsonville win.

After yet another successful doubleheader for the boys and girls teams both squads find themselves in the drivers seat to win the NWOC.

The night started with the girls team defeating Scappoose 54 to 22. Zoey Davis led Wilsonville in scoring with 14 points followed closely by  Audrey Counts who had 12. Peyton Ratcliffe had a dominant first half scoring almost all of her 9 points in the first 16 minutes.

For Scappoose Dylan Mann led the visitors in scoring with 15 and started by scoring the first 5 points of the night for the Indians. Mann mostly scored from the outside hitting a combination of threes and jumpers to get her point total.

Wilsonville’s next matchup comes on Valentines day where they travel to La Salle. Wilsonville looks to keep the perfect 9-0 league record alive traveling to the Falcons.

Next up was the boys who took part in the most important game of the year thus far, by beating the Indians they take sole possession of first place in the NWOC. Wilsonville defeated Scappoose 42-32 after an up and down performance.

The down included only scoring three points in the first quarter and being down 6-3 heading into the second. However Wilsonville got the offense together in that second quarter including a 12-0 run highlighted by threes from Kallen Gutridge and Maxim Wu.

With a 6 point lead heading into halftime Wilsonville decided to feed the big 6-7 frame of Tristan Davis. Davis finished the night with 17 points, most of those coming of mid range jump shots then a combo of moves and spins on the block.

Wilsonville now heads into it’s biggest game of the year also on the 14th against La Salle. In their last matchup the Falcons snuck past the Willdcats 53 to 51 in the brick oven. Wilsonville will look for revenge against their rival, and with a win on Monday Wilsonville will have an easy path to the NWOC title.
