Falling into pumpkin patch season

With the fall season in full swing, children, teens, and adults alike have been flocking to pumpkin patches. In search of nice pumpkin, yummy fall treats, and good photos for Christmas cards, everyone has been searching for the perfect spot to enjoy autumn. There are many pumpkin patches close to Wilsonville that would be perfect for you and your friends to get those social media perfect pictures and have a super fun time.

Lee Farms in Tualatin is close to home, being just off of Stafford Road. Since 1869, seven generations of Lee family farmers have kep the farm running and providing pumpkins for Halloween and trees for Christmas. Lee’s offers hot and cold apple cider, caramel apples, and eve apple or pumpkin doughnuts.There are also many spots pick out pumpkins, gourds, and hay bales throughout the property. If you’re looking for a good spot for photos, Lee’s has many to offer, ranging from wood cutouts to tractors to sit in. Lee’s is a great place to bring kids of all ages, and will be a great place for you to find the perfect pumpkin. Admission prices range from a $5 entrance fee that get general pass to a $20 entrance fee that gets you more hay rides and hay maze entrances.

Bauman Farms is another local pumpkin patch that draws many teens and families alike. Located in Gervais and at the Fir Point Location, Bauman has fresh produce and baked goods available for purchase, and a garden center that sells many types of greens. Bauman offers a wide variety of produce, with squash and pumpkin being seasonal foods, and mushrooms, pears, potatoes,and apples being sold all year round. You can even have foods delivered fresh to your door, with many fruits and veggies being offered. Bauman was also voted #1 Pumpkin Patch 8 years in a row, with an animals petting zoo, a kids play area and many photo opportunities for cute picture. Bauman is free to get into, but it will cost if you want to buy pumpkins or rides on the farm.

Ryser’s Farm Pumpkin Patch is a farm in Aurora that is very family friendly. They have special Saturday old fashioned cider pressings, a fun event that all can enjoy. After, they can taste a sample of the cider. Ryser’s has animals you can feed, pumpkins you can pick, and cider you can buy. Ryser’s is a family friendly farm that later in the year has berry picking. They are open from 9-5 daily, so head in to pick your perfect pumpkin.

This fall has been beautiful, and pumpkin patches are the highlight of the season. The crisp air, the beautiful leaves, and the traditions of pumpkin patches are staples of the fall season. So head out to any of our local farms and have a great time!
