Wilsonville Rolls Past Grants Pass 12-2
Wilsonville crushes Cavemen 12-2 on a great night for Rochne Beecham and the rest of the offense.
Wilsonville continues it dominance in the 2022 season with a 12-2 win over the visiting Grants Pass Cavemen. Wilsonville improves to 3-1 after a stellar performance from Rochne Beecham who drove in 5 runs during the victory. Wilsonville entered the contest with a 2-1 record after beating Cleveland and Centennial, then losing to Tualatin. The top of Wilsonville’s order raked against the visiting Cavemen with Cole Hubka, Berkley Reents, and Max Bledy all collecting two hits. The real gem was Beecham’s performance, with the affor mentioned 5 RBI’s the rest of the stat line was something from a video game 3 hits, a walk, and 2 runs scored. Keenan Sanford said this on Beecham’s fantastic contest “Really fun great to see your team mates do that after they work so hard, vote for him for player of the week.” Austin Lowery also contributed at the bottom of the order with 2 hits (Both doubles) a walk and 2 RBI’s. Wilsonville’s offense sparkled in this one and the defense was amazing only giving up 2 runs. After a tough loss to Tualatin Cole Hubka commented on bouncing back during the Grants Pass game “Grants Pass is a good 6a team and it felt good to bounce back after a tough loss to Tualatin.” Wilsonville continues through the season waiting for league play that starts the first week of April against La Salle, Cole Hubka on the upcoming schedule proclaimed “We have been in a really good rhythm as of late and we are figuring out who we are as a team.”
