Wildcats take down Mustangs 60-51
60-51 read the scoreboard as the horn blared declaring the end of the game. The Wildcats had taken down the Milwaukie Mustangs for the second time this season. The Wildcats didn’t come out initially with same energy as they normally do, only leading by 3 at half. The second half of play was a much more inspired effort, but the Wildcats never could pull away to make it a blowout by the end of regulation play. A big scoring and rebounding effort by senior post Zac Rossetti helped push the Wildcats to their nine point victory over the Mustangs. Caleb Larsen played limited minutes in the second half due to early foul trouble. The Wildcats move to a 12-6 overall season record to date and are currently ranked 5th in the state. The Wildcats look to remain undefeated in the league as they make the trip to Hillsboro on Friday to take on the Spartans. In their last matchup against Hillsboro, the Wildcats overpowered the Spartans 83-21. Hopefully there will be a similar outcome this time around.
