Despite the wintery weather, seniors are working hard to welcome spring.
The Springfest court has been working hard for 3 weeks to make sure everything is perfect for this special night.
As spring is quickly approaching the students selected for the Springfest court have begun their practice. The court has been practicing for about 3 weeks now and has begun the choreography for the slow dance. Each pair has been working to get down the steps to create the momentous dance.
This year Prom is before Springfest, causing the springfest court to choose whether to be affiliated with prom or not. For many, this could mean the difference between performing the dance on the prom dance floor like the many years in the past, or saving it for the 28th.
For Senior Mary Kimball this experience has been really interesting and says that learning how to dance has been really fun. She said that being on Springfest has been a positive experience and that she has so much fun working with her friends. She is excited to see how it comes together for the final performance in April. She looks forward to seeing the dresses for the first time. So far it has been a difficult process learning the dance but says that it gets better with each practice.
The Springfest court will make their appearance at Springfest on April 28th. Until then the court will put in hard work each week to prepare for the big event. As the event approaches the court will perfect their slow dance and start to learn the quick upbeat dance. Each member of the court is proud of the court and excited to perform on the 28th .
