Envisioning yourself in Interact Club
The Interact Club, one of many wonderful clubs at Wilsonville High School, is led by Angennette Escobar and serves as an opportunity for collective students interested in helping the community.
With no invitation needed and open for anyone to join, you can quickly find out the multiple benefits joining this club can do for you. Such as gaining experience in serving and leadership around new and diverse people, which are skills that can be carried throughout your life.
In addition, Interact Club has become a welcoming and inclusive space for students who are looking to make a positive impact.
Katelyn LeBlanc, a senior member of the Interact Club, spoke about the benefits of the club. “The Interact Club has allowed me to be more involved with our community, and I love participating in all the different events with friends.” She went on to describe the club’s various activities, including community service projects, fundraising events, and volunteer work. “We’re always looking for new ways to serve and help those in need, and it’s a great feeling to see the impact we’re making.”
Another member, Lucas Anderson, talked about the various opportunities within the club, “It’s my first year, but it’s been cool seeing all the different events we can help with and spend my time doing something good.”
The Interact Club looks for members that are courteous and genuinely interested in giving back to their community. And what makes the members unique is that their service is strictly voluntary, which undoubtedly builds strong character and perhaps a sense of purpose in the process.
