Varsity baseball vs Lincoln Cardinals

GM Artman

Ben VavRosky takes the mound as we host the Lincoln Cardinals. The Wildcats dominated the Cardinals 18-6.

On a beautiful sunny Tuesday afternoon, the varsity boys baseball team handley beat the Lincoln Cardinals 18-6. In the first couple of innings the Cardinals kept the score close giving the Wildcats a run for their money. But in the third inning, the Wildcats pulled away and it was an uphill battle for the Lincoln Cardinals for the remainder of the game.

Scotty McAvoy had an outstanding hit into the outfield bouncing over the center fielders head. McAvoy was then able to make it to home plate to add a point to the scoreboard. Next up to bat, Halden Bjornson, caught a piece of the ball and hit it clear over the fence for back to back home runs. A variety of players were seen on the field trying out different positions than they regularly play. The Cardinals could not find a way to defend the Wildcats, leading to a Wilsonville victory.

Friday there will be a home game against the St Helens Lions at 5pm. Be sure to cheer on your Wildcats and bring your friends. Go Cats!
