The prevalence of parking seems to spark both tension and gratuity among Wilsonville students. While upperclassmen aim to preserve and protect their coveted parking spaces, underclassmen eagerly await receiving parking permits. Local issues have been such as the struggle to regulate student behavior/reckless driving, having students parking in unsafe zones, and the most notorious debate: Claiming parking spots. Although many additional parking lots have been added to the North, West, and South school property areas, many new drivers have ended up parking across the street or in the Boeckman Elementary lot, (which is not permitted). While Wilsonville High School admin and office staff work to assign parking spots to students, students still try to work around the constant battle of limited parking on campus.
